Waco, TX – The Waco Police Department is partnering with Carter BloodCare’s Waco Donor Center to participate in the 2025 Battle of the Badges blood drive, a friendly competition with the Waco Fire Department and McLennan County Sheriff’s Office to see which agency can receive the most votes.
The blood drive kicks off on August 16 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Bass Pro Shops in Waco. Donors have the opportunity to save up to three adult lives with each donation, and all contributions remain within the local community.
Participants can donate and vote for Waco PD through August 30 at the Carter BloodCare location at 206 Archway Drive in Woodway or at designated pop-up locations. Walk-ins are welcome, though appointments will be given priority.
Officials encourage donors to remember to vote for Waco Police Department when donating to help their agency win the competition. Interested participants can reserve a spot and find more information online at the City of Waco website.
