Applications are open for the WPD Junior Police Academy, police officials say

Waco, TX – The Waco Police Department is currently collecting school supplies for the upcoming 5th Annual Back to School Bash, scheduled for July 26, 2025.

Donations can be dropped off anytime at the Waco Police Department, located at 3115 Pine Avenue.

The deadline to contribute supplies is Thursday, July 24.

At the event, thousands of backpacks filled with essential school supplies will be distributed to students attending the Bash, which will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Waco Convention Center.

The department hopes these supplies will help boost students’ confidence and excitement as they begin the new school year.

All items will be given out free of charge while supplies last. Community members are encouraged to support this effort to help ensure local students have what they need to succeed.
