Waco, TX – The Waco Police Department will celebrate Red Ribbon Week from October 20–22 by visiting six area schools with slow-moving parades featuring lights and sirens.

The initiative aims to educate students on the importance of saying no to drugs.

Schools have been notified of the visits, and lights and sirens will only be used briefly while officers enter campus grounds.

The department encouraged the community to stay safe and reminded youth to always say no to drugs.
