Waco road construction closes access to Cobbs Drive from Lake Jackson, Trinity, Caldwell and Hanover drives until April 30th

Waco, TX – Waco residents should be prepared for a temporary road closure through the end of April as construction work continues in the area. The City of Waco has announced that access to Cobbs Drive will be fully prohibited from several surrounding side streets, including Lake Jackson Drive, Trinity Drive, Caldwell Drive, and Hanover Drive.

The roadwork is part of ongoing efforts to improve and maintain the city’s infrastructure, with detour signs clearly marked to direct drivers around the closed areas. The project aims to address necessary upgrades and ensure safer, more efficient roadways for Waco residents.

In a statement from the City of Waco, officials expressed appreciation for the community’s patience during the construction. They noted that the temporary closure is essential for maintaining the quality of Waco’s road systems and keeping up with the demands of a growing city.

Local traffic patterns are expected to be impacted during this time, and drivers are encouraged to use the designated detour routes to avoid delays. While the closure may be inconvenient for some, officials assure that the improvements will benefit the city in the long run.

As always, the City of Waco thanks residents for their understanding and cooperation as work continues to enhance the city’s infrastructure.
