Waco, TX – The City of Waco has transformed 11 metal utility boxes along Waco Drive into colorful art displays created by local artists.
The project, part of the City’s Beautification, Arts & Culture program, was made possible with support from Creative Waco and the Texas Department of Transportation.
Each artist received $1,000 for their work, which adds vibrant public art to one of the city’s busiest roadways.
Creative Waco announced that a second round of proposals will be accepted later this year, inviting more artists to contribute to the project.
