Woman asked her former partner where he wanted to be left after telling him that they needed to end their night and stop seeing each other, only to be shot by him and left seriously injured; charges

Texas – A Texas man was arrested last week and charged with aggravated assauIt with a deadIy weapon following a shooting incident involving his former gIrlfriend.

The incident occurred on the evening of March 26, 2025, around 11:18 PM, outside a bar located. The defendant, 26-year-old lsaac, and his former girIfriend, who had been meeting as friends since ending their romantic reIationship, had dined together at a local restaurant earlier that evening. Afterward, while driving, the woman informed the shooter of her intention to go their separate ways, which reportedly angered him.

In response, the defendant allegedly threatened, stating that ‘it’s going to get ugly if she doesn’t take him where she is going.’ Fearing for her safety, the woman drove to the bar and entered the establishment. The defendant followed her inside, demanding she return to the vehicle. When she attempted to use pepper spray in self-defense, it reportedly maIfunctioned. The situation escalated as the man allegedly asked if she intended to act, to which she apologized and exited the bar to return to her truck.

As she attempted to flee, the defendant allegedly fired multiple shots, striking her in the groln, hip, abdomen, and back. Witnesses reported that the shooter fled the scene but was later apprehended with assistance from his mother, who picked him up nearby. The victim was transported to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries.

During the investigation, the shooter allegedly informed Texas authorities that he was angry about the breakup and the manner in which it was conducted. He reportedly stated that he felt betrayed and acted out of frustration. However, specific details of his statements to responding officers were not fully disclosed in available reports.

He was arrested on March 28, 2025, and booked into the detention center on charges of aggravated assauIt with a deadIy weapon. The victim’s condition remained critical, with her identity withheld pending notification of family.

This incident underscores the potential dangers associated with volatile emotional responses to relationship changes and highlights the importance of addressing such situations with care and awareness.
