Texas – A Texas woman is behind bars and is now charged with multiple charges, including murder after she reportedly shot her partner to death. Authorities believed the woman shot the 28-year-old man, Geovani, following an arguments about alleged texts exchanged between the victim and another female. The 23-year-old woman, later identified as Tatiana, reportedly grabbed a gun and confronted the man when she found the texts on his phone after he forgot the device in her vehicle.
The fatal shooting occurred last weekend, police officials said. The responding officers found the victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds and pronounced him dead at the scene.
During the investigation process, authorities discovered that the victim and the defendant were involved in an unstable relationship. According to the victim’s mom, her son was dating the 23-year-old woman and their relationship was very violent. The woman told investigators that the defendant injured her son on at least one occasion and the victim reportedly called 911 on her.
It remains unclear if the woman has any charges in connection with the previous incident. During the investigation process, authorities discovered that on the night before the fatal shooting, both the victim and the defendant spent time together. The woman then left while the victim went back home.
Shortly after, he called the defendant and told her that he forgot his phone in her vehicle. The woman then checked the victim’s phone and reportedly found texts between the man and another female. The defendant then grabbed her gun and went to confront her partner.
During an interview with investigators, the defendant reportedly said she shot the man multiple times because he grabbed her coat. After shooting him multiple times and leaving him on the street, the woman entered the vehicle and drove home, which was shown in the surveillance video authorities obtained.
