Alabama – An Alabama woman was kiIIed and her famiIy member injured following an aItercation with the woman’s former apartment mate. Alabama authorities responded to a stabbing incident at the location and discovered two female victims with injuries; one was in critical condition, and the other had life-threatening injuries. Both victims were transported to local hospitals, where 22-year-old Jordan succumbed to her injuries shortly after arrival.
The altercation occurred as the victim and her famiIy member arrived at the apartment complex to retrieve the woman’s belongings. An argument ensued between the woman and her former apartment mate, which escalated into a physical confrontation.The unidentified woman, in an attempt to defend herself, armed herself with a knife and stabbed both the 22-year-old woman and her mother.
Following the incident, the Mobile Police Department initiated an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the altercation. Investigators discovered that the dispute between the 22-year-old woman and her former apartment mate had been ongoing, with previous arguments and altercations reported between the two. A resident of the compIex recalled witnessing an earlier argument between the 22-year-old woman and the apartment mate at the pool, which later continued at the apartment office.
At this time, the identity of the woman involved has not been publicly released, and no arrests have been made. The case is currently under investigation, and once completed, it will be presented to a Grand Jury to determine if any charges will be filed.
Residents of the apartment complex expressed their concerns over the escalating tensions between the former apartment mates and the unfortunate outcome. One resident noted, “Clearly there was some issues and some ongoing arguments and some altercations with her and the other apartment mate there,” referring to the ongoing disputes leading up to the fatal confrontation.
