Waco, TX – According to the Waco Police Department officials, the 28-year-old man, Kevin Reese was taken into custody on Saturday.
He was later charged with aggravated assault causing serious bodily injury.
On December 27, 2023, officers were called to a local hospital for a check patient, who arrived unresponsive, by ambulance, on December 26, 2023 after being located by family.
The patient was identified as 25-year-old, Queen Brooks.
An investigation began with the Waco Police Department when a concerning Facebook post was found on Reese’s social media.
Brooks was declared brain dead on December 29, 2023, it was determined that Reese knowingly strangled Brooks, and he was later arrested.
