WPD expressed deep sorrow over the loss of three Texas children due to pediatric vehicular heatstroke

Waco, TX – Per reports, the Waco Police Department released a statement, expressing deep sorrow over the loss of three Texas children due to pediatric vehicular heatstroke. Each of these tragic deaths resulted from children being forgotten in vehicles.

The department emphasized the importance of never leaving children unattended in a hot vehicle, even briefly, as this can lead to pediatric heatstroke, which can cause permanent disability or death.

Vehicles can heat up rapidly, with temperatures increasing by 19°F in just 10 minutes and continuing to rise, regardless of cracked windows.

If you see young children left alone in a vehicle for an extended period, particularly in the extreme Texas heat and with the vehicle not running, please contact the Waco Police Department or your local law enforcement agency immediately.
