Woman Charged with Burglary After Breaking Into Ex-Husband’s Girlfriend’s Home

Waco, TX – A 50-year-old woman has been charged with burglary of a habitation with intent to commit a felony after allegedly breaking into the home of her ex-husband’s girlfriend and causing significant damage to the property. The incident took place on December 30, 2024, at a residence located on Roy Drive.

According to an arrest warrant affidavit, when police arrived at the scene, they found the front door of the home wide open. Inside, officers discovered a chaotic scene with overturned furniture, clothing scattered and covered in paint, and an antique radio that had been destroyed. The homeowner, who was not identified, reported that the damage to her personal property was estimated to be around $5,100.

The victim told authorities that she had been involved in a physical altercation with Henderson, the ex-wife of her boyfriend, the day before the burglary. This confrontation appeared to have escalated into the subsequent break-in.

Detectives later contacted Henderson, who admitted to entering the residence without permission. In a statement, Henderson explained that she had gone to the house to speak with her ex-husband but found no one home. She admitted to being upset after the prior fight with the girlfriend and, in a fit of rage, decided to break into the home. Henderson reportedly entered through an unlocked door and began damaging the property.

Henderson also acknowledged that her actions constituted a felony, confirming that she had no consent to enter the home. Despite being arrested, Henderson is no longer in custody at the McLennan County Jail, according to online jail records.

The investigation into the incident continues as authorities prepare for further legal proceedings.
