Waco, TX – The City of Waco is pleased to welcome Interim Fire Chief R.M. Bergerson to his new role.
Chief Bergerson, who began his career as a firefighter in the Austin area in 1993, has been with the Waco Fire Department since 1997.
His leadership has played a key role in the successful implementation of numerous improvements within the department, including contributing to the achievement of the Waco Fire Department’s Class 1 ISO insurance rating.
With a dedicated team of over 220 employees operating out of 14 fire stations, Waco Fire responds to more than 21,000 calls for service annually.
Chief Bergerson’s experience and commitment to excellence continue to shape the department as it provides vital services to the community.
