Passenger killed in crash on I35 Saturday night, WPD officials say

Waco, TX – The Waco Police Department is actively investigating a hit-and-run fatality crash that occurred on February 25, 2025. Special Crimes Detectives are working diligently to find the suspect responsible for the incident.

According to the police, the suspect vehicle is believed to be a 2016-2018 Black Chevy Cruze.

The vehicle involved in the crash is reported to be missing its driver’s side mirror and could also have damage to or be missing a portion of the left headlight assembly.

The department has released a stock photo of the suspected vehicle to assist the public in identifying it.

As of now, the suspect has not been identified or located. Waco PD is urging anyone who might have information about the crash or the whereabouts of the suspect vehicle to come forward.

The department has partnered with Crime Stoppers to offer a means for the public to provide tips anonymously. Individuals with information can contact Crime Stoppers at 254-753-HELP (4357) or submit a tip online at wacocrimestoppers.org.

If an anonymous tip leads to an arrest, the tipster could be eligible for a reward of up to $2,000. Waco Police are hoping that the public can provide crucial information that will lead to the identification and capture of the individual responsible for the hit-and-run crash.

The investigation into the incident is ongoing, and Waco PD is encouraging anyone with knowledge of the case or the suspect vehicle to help bring justice to the victim and their family. The community’s cooperation in solving this tragic event is essential.
