Waco, TX – Waco Police are investigating the city’s third homicide of 2025 after a man was found shot early Wednesday morning in the 100 block of Apple Street.
Officers responded to the area at approximately 6:18 a.m. on April 2, where they discovered a 51-year-old man, later identified as Christan Chae Walker, suffering from a gunshot wound.
Emergency medical personnel transported Walker to a nearby hospital, where he was later pronounced dead. His next of kin has been notified.
Police said the incident appears to be isolated, and there is no ongoing threat to the public.
A woman was initially brought in for questioning, but no arrests have been made as of Thursday. Investigators have not yet released details about the circumstances surrounding the shooting, or whether any suspects have been identified.
The Waco Police Department continues to investigate the case and urges anyone with information related to the incident to come forward. This homicide marks the third being investigated by the department so far this year.
