Waco, TX – Waco police have arrested 18-year-old Jarvis Howard Jr. in connection with the homicide of 30-year-old Jeromy Munoz, officials confirmed on May 23.
The investigation began on the evening of May 15, when officers responded to a shooting at approximately 7:17 p.m. in the 1300 block of East Waco Drive. Upon arrival, officers found Munoz dead at the scene. A second male victim, aged 24, was transported to a nearby hospital by emergency medical services and is currently in stable condition.
At the time of the initial report, no arrests had been made, and police were actively seeking information from the public. Authorities identified Jeromy Munoz as the victim on May 16 but had yet to apprehend any suspects.
On May 23, the Waco Police Department announced that Jarvis Howard Jr. was taken into custody and charged with murder related to this case. The investigation remains ongoing as authorities continue to piece together the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
This incident marks the fifth homicide under investigation by Waco police in 2025.
