WACO, Texas — The Waco Police Department has expressed deep gratitude to three critical medical partners who played a key role in saving the life of K9 Officer Andor following a serious injury.
According to a department statement, Andor was first taken to the Waco Animal Emergency Clinic, where he was stabilized. From there, AirLift Texas transported him by air to the Texas A&M Veterinary Medical Teaching Hospital, where he continues to receive advanced care.
Thanks to the swift response and expert treatment provided by all three institutions, Andor’s condition is steadily improving. The police department emphasized its appreciation for the collaborative effort, saying the K9 officer is alive and healing today because of the coordinated work of these professionals.
Andor, who suffered a severe shoulder injury, has been placed in a cast to immobilize the affected area. His bloodwork has been consistently strong, and he is scheduled for surgery to repair the shoulder. The team hopes to send him home once he has recovered from the procedure.
Despite his injury, Andor has remained in good spirits—reportedly walking laps around the facility and, according to staff, keeping an eye out for a swimming hole.
The Waco Police Department also thanked the public for its ongoing support and well-wishes for Andor’s recovery.
