Applications are open for the WPD Junior Police Academy, police officials say

Waco, TX – The Waco Police Department is gearing up for its annual “Stuff the Cruiser” event, a community school supply drive in support of the upcoming Back to School Bash.

Officers will be stationed at Walmart, located at 600 Hewitt Drive, on July 19 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

A police cruiser will be set up to collect donated school supplies, with the goal of filling it to capacity.

The department is seeking essential school items, including clear backpacks, pencils, notebooks, notebook paper, folders, composition notebooks, crayons, and colored pencils.

Community members are encouraged to stop by and contribute to help ensure local students have the tools they need for the new school year.
