Waco, TX – The Waco Police Department addressed concerns on July 25, 2025, after an image of Ms. Sierra Martinez circulated on social media, mistakenly identifying her as a suspect in a fraud investigation.
The photo, which was shared on Facebook, purported to link Ms. Martinez to a fraud case that occurred on July 14 at a local convenience store on the 1400 Block of Valley Mills Drive.
However, the department confirmed that Ms. Martinez is not a suspect in this or any other investigation conducted by Waco Police.
Officials acknowledged that the image was shared without the department’s knowledge and apologized for the distress caused to Ms. Martinez. They also confirmed that the photo has since been removed from social media.
The Waco Police Department continues to investigate the fraud case, with no suspect positively identified at this time.
