Texas DPS captures 33-year-old fugitive from 10 Most Wanted list at job site

Waco, TX – The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) announced the arrest of Robert Bustrillo-Vasquiez, a 33-year-old felon featured on the state’s 10 Most Wanted Criminal Illegal Immigrants List. He was taken into custody Wednesday morning at a job site in San Antonio.

DPS Criminal Investigations Division Special Agents and Texas Highway Patrol troopers located and arrested Bustrillo-Vasquiez following investigative leads.

He had been wanted out of Bexar County since Aug. 11, 2025, on charges including aggravated kidnapping causing bodily injury or se-ual abuse, aggravated se-ual assault, and smuggling of persons.

Bustrillo-Vasquiez has a history of deportations from the United States, dating back to 2010, with his most recent deportation in February 2018.

He previously served time in federal prison for felony reentry as a deported alien. Records also show multiple arrests by the Austin Police Department in 2013 and 2014 for assault.

Authorities noted that a Crime Stoppers reward will not be issued for this arrest.
