Waco, TX — The Waco Police Department is investigating a fatal crash that occurred late Tuesday night involving a pedestrian on Interstate 35.
Officers were dispatched on May 6, 2026, at approximately 10:24 p.m. to the southbound lanes of I-35 near 18th Street and Valley Mills Drive.
Authorities said a vehicle struck a 54-year-old man who was walking across the highway.
The driver remained at the scene and has been cooperative with investigators, according to police.
No arrests have been made at this time.
Officials confirmed that next of kin has been notified. The identity of the victim is expected to be released at a later time.
