Businesswomen, businesses team up to provide meals to local students

WACO, TX – Local businesswoman teamed up with local businesses Wednesday to provide Thanksgiving meals to students of the Christian Women’s Job Corps.

Bare Arms Brewing, Baylor Club, Koehn Mortgage, Visiting Angels, Allen Samuels Auto Group and Women of Waco supported the drive-thru distribution at Bare Arms Brewing at 2515 La Salle Ave.

“The women of CWJC are working hard to transform their lives, their families and their communities. We wanted to give them one less thing to worry about this holiday season and take care of their Thanksgiving dinner,” Jill King of Bare Arms Brewing said.

“We celebrate these women for pursuing their education and striving for a better career,” she says.

The group provides free job training and GED classes as well as tutoring, case management and mentoring to “empower women through a holistic approach that fosters spiritual, personal, and professional growth enabling women to transform themselves, their families, and their communities.”
