Texas – Commissioner Sid Miller has issued a statement calling for the Texas Legislature and Governor Greg Abbott to prioritize a statewide ban on non-water additives, such as fluoride, in public water supplies. Miller emphasized the importance of the fundamental American value of freedom of choice, arguing that Texans should not be subjected to government-mandated chemicals in their water without their consent.
Miller commended states like Florida, Utah, Tennessee, New Hampshire, and North Dakota for setting a precedent with statewide bans on additives in their water supplies. He also voiced support for the leadership of Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and former President Donald J. Trump in their efforts to eliminate forced government health decisions.
Highlighting the need for clean, unaltered water, Miller pointed to cities like Abilene, Texas, as examples of communities that have provided residents the choice of water without additives. While he supported the ability of private businesses to sell water with additives, Miller firmly stated that local, state, and national governments should not have the power to force chemicals into public water supplies. Texans, according to Miller, deserve water that is pure and free from additives they did not choose.
