Indiana – An Indiana man was taken into custody and later charged with murder in connection with his partner’s death last week, police officials said. The 34-year-old man, later identified as TayIor, reportedly killed his 36-year-old spouse, Debora, at their family home last week. The man was taken into custody after sending a photo to the victim’s alleged Iover, who immediately called 911 after receiving a photo of the woman covered in bIood.
The investigation process began on February 14 after the unidentified 911 caller told the dispatcher and told them that the victim was in danger. The responding officers arrived at the location and knocked on the door, but nobody opened. Shortly after, the 911 caller arrived at the location and reportedly show them the photo he received from the woman’s phone, which authorities later discovered that was sent by her husband.
The 911 caller also told the responding officers that he received a call from the victim’s phone and could hear her screaming for help. When the officers saw the photo, they breached the door and took the defendant into custody. First responders rushed the victim to the hospital, where doctors pronounced her dead. The woman suffered more than three dozen stab wounds to her body.
Shortly after his arrest, the defendant reportedly told investigators that their marriage was ruined after he saw a picture of his wife holding someone else’s hand. The defendant told investigators that the other man was his wife’s colleague. One hour before he killed the woman, they reportedly got involved into a heated argument before she left the home. According to the defendant, the woman left the home ‘right when her Iover gets off work’.
The defendant also told investigators that he was very angry that about being home again with their children. He also said that for the last few months, he stayed home every weekend while his wife ‘goes and sleeps with whoever and lies to his face about it,’ L&C reported. The woman returned home after half an hour and went to the bathroom. The defendant then asked for her phone, only for her to refuse and get into a fight with her husband.
During the fight, the defendant grabbed a glass bottled and hit the woman in the head several times. While she was unconscious, he grabbed a knife and stabbed her nearly four dozen times. After he killed her, the defendant sent a photo of the dying woman to her alleged Iover and told him that it’s his fault. Officers found three children, all under five years old, safe inside the home.
The 34-year-old man is being held without bond and had pleaded not guilty to the charges. His next court appearance is scheduled for next month, court records say.
