According to the police officials, the 21-year-old mom, later identified as AaIiyah was taken into custody and later charged with reckless homicide and neglect of a dependent after she reportedly killed her newborn baby. Police officials said the parent reportedly killed her 2-week-old baby after she fell asleep while br-astfeeding.
Police officials also said that the newborn’s death was the second time in 3 years her baby died while sleeping in the same bed with the 21-year-old mom. Per reports, the young mom reportedly avoided charges in the 2020 incident. In Oct. 2023, the mom called 911 and told the dispatcher about an unresponsive baby. When officers arrived on scene, the 21-year-old mother reportedly said: “Oh no, l did it again.”
The 2-week-old baby daughter, AddiIynn, was rushed to the hospital, where doctors pronounced her dead. Per reports, the baby’s death was the second time in just couple years AaIiyah’s baby died while sharing the bed with their mom. Police officials released a statement, saying that the mother was fully aware of the danger of co-sIeeping with her baby, because she had a prior born child die while co-sIeeping.
In 2020, the mother’s 2-month-old son died after the mom slept in the same bed with the baby. After the first incident, the mother reportedly confessed that she should not have placed her baby in bed with her and that she knew it was wrong. No other information is available at the moment.
