Mother allowed her boyfriend to engage in ongoing physical abyse of her 3-year-old son until he grabbed the little boy and threw him into a wall in his bedroom before picking up the child and slamming him down onto the floor multiple times, killing him; arrests

Police officials released a statement, saying that the mother, later identified as 23-year-old Kaitlyn, and her boyfriend, 24-year-old Jovanie, were taken into custody and later charged with multiple charges, including: first and second-degree assault, first-degree reckless endangerment and second-degree manslaughter, after they reportedly beat Kaitlyn’s 3-year-old son, Kayden, to death.

Prosecutors said the mother and her boyfriend reportedly neglected and beat the child to death. On Tuesday, officers responded to a disturbance call. The 3-year-old boy was rushed to the hospital with severe injuries. During the investigation, authorities reportedly revealed that the 24-year-old boyfriend grabbed the little child and threw him into a wall in his bedroom.

Jovanie then picked up the child and slammed him down onto the floor multiple times. This incident occurred just 2 days before they called the authorities. The medical examiner told investigators that the 3-year-old child suffered multiple severe injuries, including: broken arm, broken leg, Iacerated Iiver, and severe sweIIing and bIeeding in the braiin that led to a complete loss of brain function.

The little boy died after spending 2 days at the hospital fighting for his life. Prosecutors allege that the boy’s mother, Kaitlyn, allowed her boyfriend to engage in ongoing physical abuse and didn’t seek medical attention for her son for 2 days after her boyfriend reportedly inflicted the fatal injuries on her son. Both defendants pleaded not guilty.
