Texas – Uncork Texas Wines, a Texas Department of Agriculture program, announced the launch of the 2026 Texas Vintners Cup, a statewide wine competition aimed at identifying the top wines produced in Texas.
Now in its sixth year, the competition is designed to recognize a selection of wines considered among the best in the state. Officials said the program continues to highlight Texas wineries and their growing presence in the wine industry.
Texas Agriculture Commissioner Sid Miller encouraged vintners across the state to submit entries before the June 5, 2026 deadline. He said the competition showcases the craftsmanship of local wineries and provides statewide recognition for their work.
Organizers noted that winning wines will be featured through statewide promotional efforts, including a Texas Monthly feature and a coordinated social media campaign from the Texas Department of Agriculture.
This year’s judging panel will include wine journalist Jessica Dupuy and Master Sommeliers Jack Mason and Craig Collins, who will evaluate submissions based on established criteria.
Winners of the Texas Vintners Cup will also receive recognition at a ceremony scheduled for September 25, 2026, at the State Fair of Texas in Dallas.
