Texas – The Texas Military Department assisted U.S. Border Patrol agents in detaining three suspects who were attempting to cross the border illegally and evade law enforcement near El Paso, according to a statement released April 7.

Officials said the effort was part of Governor Greg Abbott’s border security mission, which involves coordination between state and federal agencies.

The Texas Military Department noted that operations like this are aimed at safeguarding communities and disrupting transnational criminal organizations.
