Waco, TX – Waco Police Department officials released the following statement:
“Every year during this holiday we as a department see a rise in calls regarding people shooting fireworks and firearms.
Please remember that if we catch you shooting fireworks in the city, you will be cited and your fireworks will be confiscated, and if you are caught shooting a firearm while celebrating the new year, you will go to jail.
Please keep the 9-1-1 line open for EMERGENCIES ONLY and if you need to report fireworks usage call our non-emergency number at 254-750-7500.”
