Waco, TX – The Waco Fire Department and its Technical Rescue Team successfully rescued an 18-wheeler driver after the truck was left hanging over a bridge on I-35 North in Elm Mott on October 3.
Waco Fire Department units, along with the Technical Rescue Team and Hazmat Team, responded to the scene to assist after the 18-wheeler became suspended over the bridge with the driver unable to exit the vehicle.
The truck was also leaking fuel, adding another hazard to the rescue operation.
Firefighters and rescue crews worked at the scene to safely reach the trapped driver and complete the technical rescue.
The Waco Fire Department later confirmed that the rescue operation was successful.
