San Antonio – The San Antonio Fire Department paid tribute to firefighter Scott Patrick Deem on May 18, marking nine years since his line-of-duty death.
The department reflected on the loss, noting that while nearly a decade has passed since his death, many within the department still feel as though the tragedy occurred only yesterday.
Scott Patrick Deem died on May 18, 2017, from injuries sustained when he became trapped during a structural collapse while responding to a four-alarm fire.
The department stated that his memory continues to be carried by colleagues and remains present in the hearts of those who served alongside him.
