Waco, TX – The Waco Police Department is encouraging the community to support its Explorer Program through an ongoing fundraiser aimed at helping young people interested in law enforcement careers.
According to the department, the Waco Police Explorer Program is designed for young men and women between the ages of 14 and 21 who are interested in pursuing a career in policing or the broader criminal justice system. The program provides hands-on experience, training opportunities, and mentorship from law enforcement professionals.
As part of the fundraising effort, the department has partnered with Little Caesars to offer an online campaign running from April 14 through May 13, 2026. Community members can participate by purchasing items through the fundraiser, with proceeds going toward supporting the Explorer Program.
Officials said the program plays an important role in developing future leaders by giving participants insight into real-world law enforcement operations. Explorers often assist with community events, learn about police procedures, and build skills related to teamwork, leadership, and public service.
The Waco Police Department emphasized that community support helps ensure the program can continue offering opportunities for young people to explore careers in law enforcement while gaining valuable experience.
Additional information about the Explorer Program is available through the department’s website, and officials are encouraging residents to participate in the fundraiser and share the effort with others.
