Waco, TX – The Waco Police Department joined other local public safety agencies for a HERO DAY event hosted by Peter Piper Pizza, helping build connections with members of the community.
The department thanked Peter Piper Pizza for the invitation and the opportunity to take part in the event alongside other first responders.
According to Waco Police, officers spent time interacting with the community, sharing information about the department, and teaching attendees more about their role in serving and protecting the city.
The department said events like HERO DAY provide an opportunity to create positive relationships between law enforcement and the community while allowing residents to meet the people who serve them.
