Baylor to require weekly COVID-19 testing for students, faculty and staff during spring semester

WACO, TX — Baylor University has announced it will require weekly COVID-19 testing for all students, faculty and staff during the Spring 2021 semester.

President Linda A. Livingstone, Ph.D. announced the policy in a letter Thursday.

Livingstone said the university’s health experts determined this to be “the key to unlocking additional normalcy as the semester progresses.”

More information regarding the initiative will be announced. Livingstone said the weekly testing is expected to begin late January.

The tests will be self-administered and available through several testing locations on campus.
