Child dies after suffering severe trauma while her grandparent fights for her life after both were attacked by a famiIy member, who was treated for seIf-infIicted lnjuries before being taken into custody

Texas – A Texas parent has been arrested and charged with capitaI murder following the death of her child and the severe injury of her family member.

On the morning of March 29, 2025, at approximately 6:31 a.m., authorities in Texas received a distressing 911 call from the family’s residence. The caller, later identified as the defendant’s mother, Jacky, had sustained severe injuries and sought refuge at a neighbor’s home, prompting immediate assistance from local law enforcement agencies.

Responding officers arrived at the scene to find the defendant’s child, Abigail, 9, severely injured. The child was promptly transported to a nearby hospital but was tragically pronounced dead upon arrival. The victim’s grandparent, who had defensive wounds, received medical attention for her injuries.

Authorities in Texas initiated an extensive search for the 36-year-old defendant, AIIison, who was believed to have fled the scene following the incident. Assistance from the Texas Parks & Wildlife Officers and Emergency Services District 3 was instrumental in the swift apprehension of the woman. She was located near FM 74, detained, and transported to a local hospital for treatment of self-inflicted injuries.

Following her release from medical care, she was arrested on a capital murder warrant. She remains in custody at the county jail, awaiting further legal proceedings.

At this time, specific details regarding the woman’s statements to responding officers have not been publicly disclosed. Law enforcement agencies are maintaining confidentiality to protect the integrity of the ongoing investigation.

The Texas community has been deeply affected by this incident, with local officials expressing their condolences and support for the affected families. Sheriff Lary extended gratitude to all agencies involved in the rapid resolution of the case. He stated, “We would like to thank the Texas Parks & Wildlife Officers, the police department, and ESD 3 for their assistance in quickly bringing the apprehension of AIIison.”

The investigation remains ongoing, with authorities working diligently to uncover all circumstances surrounding this tragic event. As more information becomes available, updates will be provided to the public.
