Waco, TX – The City of Waco Housing & Community Development Department is now accepting applications from qualified organizations seeking federal funding through the Community Development Block Grant and Home Investment Partnership Program (HOME). Applications will be accepted from March 4 through 4 p.m. on April 4, 2025.
The City anticipates receiving funding from these two federal grant programs, which are designed to support various initiatives benefiting local residents.
However, the formal award of funds is still pending, and any grants provided by the City of Waco will be contingent upon the receipt of funds from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).
CDBG funding must be used for activities that benefit low- and moderate-income residents, eliminate blight, or address urgent community needs.
Meanwhile, HOME funding is dedicated to increasing affordable housing opportunities for low- and moderate-income households.
Organizations interested in applying should ensure their projects align with the grant requirements. For more information and to access the application, visit the City of Waco’s Housing & Community Development website.
