Temple, TX – The Temple Police Department is investigating a deadly traffic accident that occurred early Sunday morning on SE HK Dodgen Loop. Officers were called to the scene around 1:18 a.m. after receiving reports of a crash involving a high-speed vehicle.
Upon arrival, authorities determined that the vehicle, traveling southbound, veered off the roadway, crossed into the northbound lanes, and struck a tree. The driver, whose identity has not been released, was pronounced dead at the scene by Justice of the Peace Fisher.
No other injuries were reported as a result of the crash.
The Temple Police Department has stated that the investigation is still ongoing, and they are urging anyone with information about the incident to come forward.
As the investigation continues, authorities are looking into the cause of the crash, including the possibility of speed being a factor.
