Dallas, TX – Residents of the Hamilton Park community joined several City of Dallas departments on Thursday to walk neighborhood trails as part of an effort to promote safety, strengthen community connections, and encourage pride in shared public spaces.
According to the Dallas Police Department, community members partnered with representatives from the Dallas Police Department, Dallas Parks and Recreation, Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART), Emergency Management and Crisis Response (EMCR), and the Office of Councilmember Kathy Stewart to take part in the neighborhood walk.
The event focused on encouraging residents to use and enjoy local trails while working together to maintain safe and welcoming public areas. Participants walked through the neighborhood, engaged with community members, and highlighted the importance of keeping shared spaces active and accessible.
City officials and community leaders emphasized the value of collaboration between residents and local agencies in creating stronger neighborhoods. The initiative also served as an opportunity to build relationships between community members and the departments that serve the area.
