Waco, TX – A 57-year-old man from Hillsboro has been arrested following a vehicle-related incident that left one person injured on Friday morning. Eulalio Morales Hernandez is facing charges after allegedly striking an individual with his vehicle and fleeing the scene.
Bellmead Police responded to the scene on the 1500 block of N Interstate 35 Access Road around 10 a.m. after reports of a disturbance. Upon arrival, officers discovered that the disturbance was the result of a vehicle accident in which the victim had sustained injuries. The driver, later identified as Hernandez, fled the scene before law enforcement arrived.
Following an investigation, Hernandez was located, taken into custody, and charged with Deadly Conduct, a Class A misdemeanor, as well as Accident Involving Injury, a third-degree felony. The injured victim was transported to a local hospital for medical treatment.
Hernandez is currently being held in custody while the investigation continues.
