Houston, TX – The Houston Police Department has welcomed 69 new officers as part of Cadet Class 274 and Lateral Class L-15-26.
According to HPD, the new officers are joining the department as part of its ongoing recruitment and training efforts to strengthen public safety staffing across the city.
Officials said the graduating cadets are now prepared to begin serving and protecting the Houston community after completing required training.
The department also encouraged interested applicants to apply through its official recruitment portal as it continues hiring efforts for future classes.
