Texas – Texas Agriculture Commissioner Sid Miller and the Texas Department of Agriculture (TDA) honored 68 farms and ranches from 48 counties during the 51st Annual Family Land Heritage (FLH) ceremony.
The event featured Texas Department of Agriculture Brand Ambassadors, television personalities Bob and Kelli Phillips, Pro Rodeo announcer Terry Starnes, and Cowboy poet and entertainer Red Steagall.
The Family Land Heritage program recognizes Texas families whose farms and ranches have been in continuous agricultural production for 100 years or more.
Since 1974, the program has celebrated the dedication and resilience of these landowners, with more than 5,000 families honored over the decades.
Commissioner Miller praised the families for their commitment to Texas agriculture, calling their work “a Texas-sized legacy of hard work, heritage, and the kind of grit that makes our state strong.”
He emphasized the importance of preserving agricultural traditions and celebrated the enduring contributions of Texas farmers and ranchers to the state’s heritage.
