Texas man wanted for capital murder featured on Most Wanted list with increased reward after cutting off ankle monitor and vanishing after $1 million bond release

Texas – The Texas Department of Public Safety has identified Hassan Haitham Muhsen as this month’s featured fugitive on the Texas 10 Most Wanted list, with rewards increased for information leading to his arrest.

Authorities said the total reward for tips leading to Muhsen’s capture is up to $6,000 during May if the information is received within the month. The U.S. Marshals Service is also offering an additional reward of up to $5,000.

According to DPS, Muhsen, 20, of Frisco, has been wanted in Collin County since April 24, 2026, on a capital murder charge. Officials said the charge stems from his alleged involvement in a January 2025 robbery and shooting in McKinney.

Investigators said Muhsen cut off his electronic ankle monitor and fled after being released from jail on a $1 million bond. His criminal history includes prior arrests for unlawful carrying of a weapon, drug-related offenses, and capital murder by terror threat or other felony, according to DPS records.

Authorities described Muhsen as 5 feet 11 inches tall, weighing approximately 120 pounds, with tattoos on his neck, left hand, and left wrist.

The Texas Crime Stoppers program, funded by the Governor’s Public Safety Office, offers cash rewards for tips leading to arrests of fugitives, sex offenders, and criminal illegal immigrants on the state’s most wanted lists. DPS officials said 28 individuals have been arrested so far in 2026 through the program, with more than $45,000 in rewards paid out.

Officials emphasized that all tips remain anonymous and can be submitted through the Crime Stoppers hotline, online tip portal, or social media channels.

DPS continues to work with local law enforcement agencies to locate individuals on the Texas 10 Most Wanted lists and encourages the public to report any information that may assist in ongoing investigations.
