Waco, TEXAS – The Waco Police Department thanked the Waco Citizens Police Academy Alumni Association for providing lunch to officers during National Police Week.
According to the department, the alumni association prepares and serves a meal for department personnel each year as part of the annual observance honoring law enforcement officers.
Officials said this year’s meal included chicken, burgers, and homemade desserts, and expressed appreciation for the group’s continued generosity and support of the department.
National Police Week is recognized across the country each May to honor law enforcement officers who serve their communities and remember those who lost their lives in the line of duty.
