Waco, TX – Waco police are investigating a fatal crash on Interstate 35 that killed a 50-year-old man early Tuesday, October 13, 2026.
Officers were dispatched at approximately 12:59 a.m. to southbound I-35 near 12th Street, where a Nissan collided with the rear of a cement pump truck, according to the Waco Police Department.
The impact caused the Nissan to lose power and drift into an adjacent lane, where it was struck by a semi-truck. The Nissan’s driver was pronounced dead at the scene. Police said his identity will be released at a later time after next of kin were notified.
The Nissan’s passenger and the semi-truck driver were taken to a local hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
The investigation remains ongoing.
