Waco Fire Department Responds to Early Morning House Fire

Waco, TX— The Waco Fire Department responded to a house fire early Tuesday morning that left three residents displaced in the 1000 block of North 59th Street. The department was dispatched at 4:45 a.m. after reports of the blaze, which caused significant damage to the home.

Deputy Chief Patrick Veselka stated that 10 fire units and a fire investigator were deployed to the scene to contain the fire. Despite the heavy damage to the house, the fire did not spread to neighboring structures.

Fortunately, all three residents were able to escape the home safely. However, two dogs inside the house did not survive the fire. No injuries were reported among the human occupants. The displaced residents are receiving assistance from the American Red Cross while the Waco Fire Marshal’s Office investigates the cause of the fire.

Delia Krippelz, a spokesperson for the American Red Cross, confirmed the organization’s involvement in helping the affected residents during this difficult time.

In a separate incident on Monday, Waco fire units conducted a technical rescue operation in Cameron Park. Fire crews responded to a call for assistance after an individual was injured on one of the park’s trails. Firefighters successfully transported the person from the trail to a rescue boat, and the injured individual was then taken to a local hospital for further treatment.

As authorities continue to investigate both incidents, the Waco Fire Department remains vigilant in responding to emergencies throughout the city.
