Waco, TX – The Waco Police Department participated in events aimed at strengthening community connections and providing education and mentorship.
In the morning, a Neighborhood Engagement Officer presented a Civilian Response to Active Shooter Events (C.R.A.S.E.) session at the Faith Leaders Summit, sharing strategies for responding to active threat incidents with local faith-based communities.
In the afternoon, the department hosted the Greater Waco Chamber of Commerce LEAD initiative, which supports high school students with mentorship and guidance as they prepare for careers and future opportunities.
Officials said both events reflect the department’s commitment to fostering community engagement, education, and leadership development across Waco.
