Waco, TX – The Waco Police Department will host its 5th Annual Community Opportunity Event on April 25, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Dewey Park & Community Center, located at 925 N. 9th St. in Waco, Texas.
The event is designed to connect youth, teens, and young adults with local resources and opportunities.
Attendees will be able to access job opportunities, mentoring programs, mental and physical health resources, as well as GED programs, scholarships, and other educational support.
Organizers said the initiative, created by the Waco Police Department, focuses on strengthening community relationships while helping residents find pathways to education and employment.
Officials emphasized that the event is part of ongoing efforts to build trust and collaboration between law enforcement and the community.
Families are encouraged to attend and take advantage of the available services and resources.
