Waco, TX – Waco police thanked five local churches for hosting events during Faith and Blue Weekend, which the department described as an incredible success.
In a social media post, the department recognized Central Christian, Carver Park Baptist, Emmanuel Baptist, Harris Creek and St. Mary’s Church of Assumption for hosting activities on Saturday and Sunday.
Police said the events gave officers an opportunity to spend time with community members through activities that included donuts, pumpkins and prayer.
The department expressed appreciation to the participating churches and everyone who took part in the weekend, highlighting the role of community partnerships in building connections between law enforcement and local residents.
