Waco, TX — The Waco Police Department warned residents Thursday that the light dusting of snow overnight has likely turned to ice, creating hazardous road conditions.
In a social media post, the department noted that while the snowfall may look picturesque, the freezing temperatures mean roads are slick and visibility can be poor.
Police thanked drivers who have stayed off the roads and urged those who must travel to drive slowly and carefully.
The department also directed the public to the Texas Department of Transportation website for updates on major road conditions.
