WACO, Texas — The Bledsoe-Miller STEAM Center marked its first 100 days with a community-wide celebration highlighting its early impact on education and engagement in the city.
Since opening in February, the center has welcomed more than 17,000 visitors and hosted over 600 events and classes, according to the City of Waco.
Officials also said more than 2,300 students from 15 school districts have participated in field trips to the facility.
Visitors have taken part in nearly 800 hours of hands-on learning activities focused on science, technology, engineering, arts, and math.
The center reported widespread participation in creative projects using materials such as Legos, craft supplies, and more than 250 pounds of cardboard.
City officials said the milestone reflects strong community interest and engagement, with plans to continue expanding programs and learning opportunities in the months ahead.
