Waco, TX – The Bledsoe-Miller STEAM Center welcomed Representative Bowers and her team for a tour and discussion on Wednesday, giving lawmakers a first-hand look at how the center supports students in science, technology, engineering, arts, and math (STEAM).
Officials said the visit highlighted the center’s role in promoting STEM education, particularly for girls, aligning with Representative Bowers’ efforts as the author of Texas Girls in STEM Day.
The tour showcased programs designed to encourage, support, and celebrate young students pursuing STEAM opportunities.
City representatives emphasized that the STEAM Center is helping build the foundation for the next generation of innovators and leaders in the community.
